Performance
“Re-Collection” is a performative exercise that draws on the practice of enactment/embodiment that Alexandra Pirici has been concerned with over time, from works that address public monuments to works in the gallery space such as “Public Collection”, “Delicate Instruments of Engagement” or “Aggregate” – the last one developed for the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein in Berlin and curated by Raluca Voinea, a performative environment that “reflects” back to the audience embodied memories of relevant aspects of nature, culture and life on earth, from artworks to iconic images, up to extinct bird songs or a practice of intercession.
“如何用身體讓陌生的人在陌生的環境產生聯接?從聲音的回應到不用言語的身體對話的究竟能夠走多遠?深入多少?每個人的身體自成一‘園’,我更好奇與如何讓‘園’與‘園’之間產生不同的交集。” 帶著這些問題,蔡穎在南島藝術日受邀藝倡畫廊同畫家王濛沙的個展《園》與觀眾展開一場身體的對話。
agnès b. gallery 2015
In June, we are delighted to invite you to a set of dance performances led by experienced performers Cai Ying and Li De along with Chinese dance performers Wing Kong and Connie Wong. Infused with traditional and folk training, as well as inspiration from Eugenia’s images of Opéra de Paris, their short dance performances will take you by the hand on subtle journeys of contemporary dance mysteries.
A Dialogue Between ‘women’ 2015
The creation of “A Dialogue Between ‘women’ ”, a solo performance collaborated with San Francisco Visual Artist Stella Zhang. The work deals with one of my main preoccupations: Where does the women power come from? In this piece I put together in a gallery space a dancer with Stella’s exhibition “0-Viewpoint”, especially one of her installation entitled “0-Viewpoint-6”.
