CAI Ying's workshop at The Arts Council of Great New Haven on May 31th, 11am-12:30pm

in—between is inspired by childhood games from the artist CAI Ying. Ying recalls a childhood memory where she and her friends knotted rubber bands together to make a game prop . As part of this participative experiment, Ying invites her audience to physically "make" the work, as an experience crafted out of precise physical interaction with the object. The " making" ; process reflects one’s individual aesthetic choices and physical experiences. It also brings viewers to explore the process of change and changes in relationship.

The craft made by participants will continue to become part of the installation in the final art work in June.
